How do people and kit reach Langkawi?

Ferries land at Kuah Jetty, in Kuah, the island’s main town. They sail from Kuala Perlis, in Perlis, and from Kuala Kedah. One travel guide gives roughly 1 hour 15 minutes on the Kuala Perlis crossing and longer from Kuala Kedah, so check the operator’s timetable. Why does the convention centre change the plan?

Langkawi International Convention Centre stands beside The Westin Langkawi, and the hotel manages it, according to a 2015 trade article. That article describes a ballroom for 1,000 guests in banquet style that divides into three spaces, plus seven meeting rooms.

What about resorts, beaches and the sea?

Holiday weddings and retreats often centre on resort stretches such as Pantai Cenang, the island’s most popular beach, while conferences and civic events lean towards Kuah. A beach ceremony and a ballroom dinner need different kit, so say which one you mean.
